Digitizing Natural History Materials from University of Michigan’s Special Collections

  • Collaborators: HS-STEM and Digital Content & Collections
  • Description: Digitize 1,300 rare, previously-unavailable-online works from the U-M Museums of Zoology, Paleontology, and Anthropological Archaeology, as well as the University Herbarium and U-M Library's special collections and make those works available to the biodiversity research community in the HathiTrust Digital Library and the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL).

The Edison Collection of American Sheet Music, 1800-1870

  • Timeline: 2016-2018
  • Collaborators: U-M Library Music Library and Digital Content & Collections
  • Description: Digitize approximately 37,000 pieces of late 19th and early 20th CCE sheet music collected by Thomas Edison and make the sheet music available in the HathiTrust Digital Library.
